Healthcare for Children
The first years of a child's life shape their health, learning and future earning power. Yet in many urban slums and rural villages, children still go without proper nutrition, timely vaccines or even a basic health check. Our Healthcare for Children programme exists to close that gap.
We run regular child welfare camps where children are weighed, measured and screened for malnutrition, anaemia, vision and hearing problems. Parents receive simple guidance on feeding, hygiene and safe water, along with nutrition supplements for children who need extra support.
Vaccination drives are organised with local health centres so that no child misses a scheduled dose. Our volunteers keep track of due dates, remind families by phone, and accompany first-time parents who feel nervous about visiting a hospital.
Because health is also emotional, we offer play-based activities and gentle counselling for children who have experienced loss, neglect or hardship. The aim is simple: every child we meet should leave healthier, happier and more hopeful than when they arrived.
