Nutrition & Food Security
Hunger is rarely loud. It shows up as children who cannot concentrate in class, elders who skip medicines because they have not eaten, and mothers who go without so that others can have a little more. Our Nutrition & Food Security programme tackles it quietly and consistently.
We distribute monthly and seasonal dry ration kits to families identified through community surveys, and organise hot meal drives during festivals, winters and emergencies. Local grocers are our partners, which keeps costs low and supports neighbourhood shops.
Food alone is not enough, so each distribution comes with short sessions on balanced eating using locally available, affordable ingredients. Kitchen garden tips and simple recipes help families stretch every rupee further.
Our volunteers keep distribution lists transparent and respectful. Families are never photographed without consent, and collection points are chosen so that people can receive support privately and with dignity.
